Valentine's Day is upon us and there are so many people out there who dislike it because they are "single". A long time ago I used to be one of those people, BUT that all changed when I decided to celebrate what the day actually is...a day to honor love, the love within each and everyone of us. If you are finding yourself having negative emotions towards Valentine's Day keep in mind that it can be an abundance blocker. Work on teasing out why the negative emotion is there. Journal with it, and see if you can get to the root of where it is coming from so that it can be released for healing.
A great question to reflect upon is, Do you love yourself? that can be a difficult question for people IF one chooses to go beyond a surface response of "yes". Do you truly love yourself? With regards to this Valentine's Day topic...If a person truly loves him or herself, they do not give their power away to another person causing them to feel incomplete because they do not have a "special someone" or a specific person in their life. Love is within all of us and it should be celebrated every day. Valentine's Day is a day to remember that. So I encourage you to embrace the day, every day, shifting your focus from outside of you to inside of you. Get closer to yourself this Valentine's Day.
Some suggestions of things to do this Valentine's Day:
* Get together with other singles and not for the purpose of "hooking up" or "meeting someone". Get together with others to celebrate yourself and the love other people have for themselves. Celebrate friendships and how you are all uniquely wonderful.
*Have a "single's" only party! Once again, not for the purpose of "hooking up" or meeting someone. It's so much fun getting together with other people who are in a similar situation. You can share dating stories, watch movies, play cards/board games, cook some fun amazing food, ect.
*Make it a night of action or comedy movies! I always enjoyed watching hunky men and maybe having some ice cream too! Treat yourself! Watch a movie that will make you happy and not sad.
*Self-care appointments. Make an appointment to get a self-care treatment done like going to a spa, get a massage, or maybe even getting some acupuncture. There are so many wonderful self-care services available. Treat yourself to some relaxation.
*Buy yourself flowers. Flowers are very therapeutic and you don't need anyone to buy them for you. When you buy them for yourself you can actually get the ones you want. Let the scent of the flowers uplift you and cleanse your energy. You will have them to lift and energize the space around you while doing the same for yourself.
*Do something spiritual. This could be: shopping at your local metaphysical store, taking a yoga class, doing a meditation, create a vision board, journal, etc.
One of my favorite things to do is to mail valentine's to all my nieces and nephews! The younger ones get stickers in their valentine's day cards while the older ones get two $1.00 lotto tickets. It makes me feel good and it's a way to show them that Valentine's day isn't just for "lovers". All relationships are valued and appreciated this holiday season.

Right now seems to be an extreme time of discomfort if we are not on track with our goals. God and the universe are reorganizing things and creating space in whatever form that may come for you. There is a method to the madness though, and for some those answers will not be clear. However, God and the universe are pushing for you to get clear right now. This may come through sudden shifting of things around you and/or someone providing some truth for you to look at. Be easy on yourself and others during this time, because it is leading you to clarity for your soul here on earth. Don't buy into illusions and work things out based off of what feels right to you. Talk things out with a trust worthy person who understands how your mind works. This can work wonders for helping you to process out whatever it is that you are going through.
This past fullmoon didn't hit me until today. Usually I feel the affects of it a few days before it is at full capacity, but with this one it has been different. It's about two days after and it was sparked by a conversation my boyfriend had with me regarding what I was doing with my life for 2018. Lets just say, sometimes we cannot see beyond our own mindset and need to take a time out. The conversation was upsetting despite the good intentions and caring approach. He put it in terms of a pruning a tree...sometimes you have to cut off the dead parts! It was a great analogy, but I had a difficult time seeing what must go. I love every part of what I am doing, and I love the advice I give out to people. I knew there was a reason for the conversation and I took time to process it out instead of getting worked up too much :).
Eventually I spoke with another close friend who thinks like me, and I figured out how to streamline things. Sometimes it's just a matter of talking things out. As soon as I did this, and committed to a plan, I could feel relief. It felt like I untied a knot that has been nestled inside of me. Right now, I am being asked to clear space within my life because I have too much going on that's throwing me off balance. I need to start making sacrifices because my energy is being spread too thin. Through this epiphany I have had today, a new opportunity that I had been seeking presented itself. This opportunity will take a lot of time and energy so now I have the space for it. I tell you this story, because it is when we release something...we make space for the new to come in!

Happy New Year!! and Hello Cancer fullmoon! Have you been feeling it? I sure have, but you don't have to let those energies define you. Push through whatever energies are going on right now by recognizing how you are feeling and getting to the bottom of what the emotion is. Take time to go inward to get clear on what it is that your body is communicating to you, but still take action towards bettering your situation. What is coming up to be released? What needs to change? How are you going to move forward? Do you have a clear goal in mind for what you want for yourself?
One way to get clear is to write about what your goal looks like. You can do this by simply starting to write about your goal. What does your goal look, feel, smell, taste, and act like? Allow yourself to get super detailed. Even if you don't know what it looks like, just start writing and allow the vision to come to you. Doing this every day for at least 10 minutes can really get you manifesting outcomes quicker! It's a great tool for getting you into the energy of what you want. Feel your dream...this is what will bring it to you.
Vision Boards are another helpful tool to use. This can be a powerful tool so I strongly encourage you to do so with caution along with the excitement. Really allow yourself to get clear about whatever you post on your Vision Board. What is the feel of the image you are posting? What are the people doing in the photo? Are they happy? How are they standing (are they walking away or facing each other)? Does the person in the photo have their back to you? These are just some of the things to think about then you are posting a photo on your Vision Board. They have a eerie way of playing out sometimes. If you have words, how do those words make you feel? Do they uplift and inspire you? When working with a vision board, you want to have it somewhere you will see it as well as allowing the images to get you in the energy of what you want. If you want to go to a beach, you have to feel like you are at the beach. What does that feel like? If you want to take on a larger role at work, what does that role feel like? Live that energy every day for as long as you can. Just 5 or 10 minutes a day can start to shift things. Remember, the images are placing a thought and feeling into you mind...use ones that feel good.
One last tip, be around other people who are in the vibration of where you want to be. If you want be healthier, go places where healthy people are. Surround yourself with healthy friends. If you want to grow your business, be around people who have successful businesses. Go to workshops and seminars where those people go. Learn from them and be in that energy of having a successful business. Be around others who inspire you to live at a higher level/energy. Also, be mindful of what people bring your energy down, and what people add to your energy. Get away from any energy vampires in your life. You will thank yourself for it later. If you want a loving relationship, nurture the relationship that you have with yourself. Don't go seeking love. You must have it first to attract it!
Do what you need to do for yourself. The most effective way to reach what you want is to take time to work on your energy along with taking action towards your goals. Your energy and a commitment to yourself is the most important thing. Healthy selfishness is not a bad thing, it's necessary for a healthy happy life. When you are happy and healthy you are more effective at what you do.
Last night I went to bed with the intention of not snoozing and going to the gym inthe moring. It was great once I was up and moving around. It took a lot to remove myself from my warm cozy bed, but I did it! I did it for myself. My life needs a shift and therefore my energy needs a shift. This is not a new years resolution, but a commitment to myself and my life. I welcome anyone reading this to do the same. As you do this for yourself beware of temptation!
Lets rewind a bit to yesterday morning. I got up after snoozing for my usual half our and then stepped on the scale. I had gained about 7 pounds over the past few months, and I have Florida to look forward to at the end of February. I also felt a little nauseous which has been happening lately when I am not eating healthy. It's more than the weight, even thought that bothers me, it's about being healthy and good to myself. Why would I want to destroy myself? Therefore I texted my boyfriend, Carlo, and asked him to hide the cookies at his house. I was determined to not have any cookies this day! I had tried this the day before without success, because he brought cookies and cake home from his parents...it was cassata cake!!! I couldn't resist...which actually means I didn't want to resist it. So that was a fail in my book, BUT I was determined on to not repeat history. Soooo all was on a healthy track AGAIN when the universe came at me again with cookie temptation! I was at my brother's giving him a Reiki healing and my sister-in-law was BAKING fresh yummy chocolate chip cookies and sugar cookies!!! This time I had the smell to further make me feel i needed them. It was temptation city!! At the end of the Reiki session the house was smelling soooo yummy. My brother and sister-in-law offered me some, and I knew what the universe was up to so I resisted. I felt so proud of myself, and I actually thought it was funny! The universe was testing me just like the night before, and I wasn't about to fail!
Temptation will present itself as you break out of patterns. It seems like it is even more of an occurrence when we are breaking ourselves out of something that is huge for our souls journey. It's like, the bigger the struggle....the more the universe keeps checking to see if you are sure you want to change. This is where it takes checking in with where your focus is, and having great will power to resist falling back into old habits. As you shake out the old pattern from your energy, and shift your focus, you will see things like this come up. Now that you are aware, you can see the addiction or situation from a different perspective. When you can do this, whatever the pattern is or was will have less of an energetic hold on you...because you can see it for what it is. For me, I saw the cookie as a test instead of a yummy treat that tastes soooo good. Sometimes it's challenging to shift your focus from the "cookie" to what our goal is. It's also fun to investigate what the universe is bringing into your reality too! Why are certain things showing up? Where is your focus? What has shown up for you when you have tried to break a pattern?
We are at what feels like another turning point. We are at the end of the year and moving into the next year, but it's more than that. It's not like every other year. If I had to use words I would say, It's almost like a dead zone feeling... but yet full of hope and positivity for change. It's an active time and yet there is a hold of some sort on what we want, and the universe is making us work for it. This includes fighting through fears and self-doubts. Whatever you desire, you are working on now with an unknown feeling for how it's going to work out. This is where we can sometimes get stuck in feelings of worry, fear, anxiety, and/or depression. At this point, we can choose to stay suck or make the changes in our life that are necessary to swing things forward. Pull your energy to the present and offer out good vibrations. What are those self destructive behaviors that you know you do? We all know things we "should" be doing to make our lives feel more fulfillment. What would happen if you did them? Make a decision to shift your energy today...not tomorrow....not New Years Day....but today! Why not? There is no time like the present and it's all about creating a healthy flowing lifestyle. Get out of your comfort zone and do what you know you need to do for yourself. For me, I am going to stop hitting snooze in the morning and use that time by starting my day with a meditation. Let's start creating what we want and stop making excuses for it. If your in a "bad space" know you can pull yourself out of it, but it has to start with deciding to do something different. I strongly encourage getting to know your vibration which is the energy that you are sending off. It can lead you down a magical road of clarity and wishes being granted.
What way are you being pushed? It seems lately like there is a strong desire for change, but that comes with getting out of your comfort zone. Doing what feels uncomfortable, but moves you positively towards the life you desire. Do your best to flow with the way your life is being shaped. If something is coming in it's because you are ready for it, and if it's not it's because there may be a better way or something you are not seeing. Let go of judgments of how things are supposed to look. Find peace with where you are and let go of the past. You are where you are for a reason, and to move forward you must embrace where you are now. As you are working through an energy shift things will be thrown at you to get you to clarify to the universe about what you want. Don't settle for what you do not want. Keep throwing it back out into the sea until what you want arrives. If your amazon package arrives on your front door step and it's not what you ordered...what do you do? You send it back and put the order in for what you want. The universe works the same way. Work your energy by taking a look at what is showing up. What is your environment and situations in your life communicating to you? The push forward that is here now may be an overwhelming feeling, but it's moving you forward. Push through the fear, worry, anxiety, and/or depression. Whatever your mind is seeing that is making you off balance is an illusion. Do your best to not buy into it, and when you have done that...keep working on it. Draw upon God and your spiritual team of light and love to help and guide you as well. Always remember, there are things beyond what we see with our human eyes. Don't forget to tap into it for help.
What do you do when the glitz and glam is over, and the reality of your life clicks back in? The holidays can be a fun and electrifying time, but there is such a build up to it that it can feel like there is a void that needs to be filled when it is over. That void can give you great insight into what you can shift in your energy for greater fulfillment. If you are feeling overwhelmed, depressed, lonely, confused, ect ask yourself what does it want to show you? what is that void saying to you? Are you simply tired and need to nurture yourself? Do you need to feel some excitement and/or passion in your day to day life? When you target what that void is communicating to you, you can then look at how to fill it. When it is not addressed that void can be filled with unhealthy coping strategies and a less fullfilling life. Now is the perfect time to check in with yourself to see what your mind, body, and spirit is guiding you to do. Listen to what your body, mind, and spirit are communicating to you.
Journaling with the void can also be a great strategy to get to the bottom of it. literally have a written conversation with the feeling and see what it has to say. This can be done through automatic writing. This is when you don't question what your mind is telling you to write. Simply start by asking a question to the void, and write down the first thing that comes "to your mind". Don't question or judge it. Continue to allow a conversation to take place between you and the void. When you feel like the conversation is over, end it and read the conversation. You will probably be surprised at what comes up! Great connections can be made through this technique! What is your void telling you?
For me, I definitely felt the void today. It wasn't in a major way, but in a subtle annoyance that brought my mood down a bit. It also seemed like one thing came up after another that was a bother. Nothing major happened, thank God, but if I wasn't working my flow I could have easily gotten frustrated and expanded that out into other peoples worlds. Luckily I recognized my frustrations and reminded myself that for some reason this is happening...and that it will all work itself out, which it did. Today was a day of tackling things little by little, but through action! I felt better tackling things and getting this blog out. I love writing and expressing myself. To fill my void, I am embarking on ways I can expand my creativity to increase the amount of people I can positively affect in this lifetime.

I am a person who has been learning to open her awareness to what God is communicating to me through various means while tuning into her intuition. Trusting in divine timing and learning to flow isn't always pretty. We can honor our feelings and find healing through taking a look at the messiness, and working through it with as much grace and ease as we can. Sometimes a good piece of chocolate is necessary :)
